A George III mahogany serpentine chest of drawers, circa 1780
This is a very high quality chest of commode-like proportions - long and low - just as we like them! Colour is lovely throughout and with a very good old surface patina too. Original handles of a pattern aften associated with Chippendale's workshop. Underneath the feet and blocks are dry and untouched - the sort of detail that gets us furniture enthusiasts all excited! Drawers and dovetails of outstanding quality.
