Recommendations

Well June is upon us already and London is humming with auctions and the two great fairs, Olympia June 9th to 19th and Grosvenor House June 15th to 21st are rushing towards us!

This week, the recommendations page shows pieces from auctions; next week it will be the turn of the fairs.

There is a real buzz in the air in London, and it feels as if there are lots of visitors in town, so who knows perhaps we are headed for a little art market boom.  Certainly money has been made over the last few years, and perhaps there is the confidence now for people to be spending some of it.  Certainly, the sale at Easton Neston a couple of weeks ago was a great success and we have found it hard to buy bargains in the sale rooms over the last few weeks, generally finding dealers prices to be lower than auction, particularly when they have had the piece in stock for a while.

Anyway this week's recommendations include a wide variety of pieces, from contemporary art, to high taste continental furniture, and classical English pieces. This reflects our belief that beautiful interiors are best created with a wonderfully eclectic mix!

Kind regards

Tim Corfield and Daniel Morris
